Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, became the fastest player to score 20 Champions League history.
Kane had 20 goals when he scored a double against Olympiakos, the match that Tottenham won 4-2. The English striker only needs 24 matches to achieve this achievement.
Kane’s record is less than two matches compared to the old record of Juventus player Del Piero and less than three matches of the record of Van Nistelrooy, the former striker who played for Man Utd and Real.
Kane started scoring in the Champions League in November 2016, against Monaco. He has added seven goals in seven matches in the 2017-2018 season, and five goals last season contributed to bringing Tottenham to the final.
This season, Kane also had five goals. His achievement may increase when there is a final match in the group stage and at least two matches in the eighth round.
The victory of Olympiakos is also the match for Tottenham to win tickets. They have 10 points after five matches, seven more than the third-placed team B of Red Star Belgrade.
New boss Jose Mourinho is having the first two games to win with Tottenham. He succeeded in reviving the team spirit after a draw and lost at the end of the reign of Mauricio Pochettino.
Kane hopes to win the title with Mourinho
Captain Harry Kane believes the arrival of coach Jose Mourinho will help Tottenham to stop the thirst for titles.
Mourinho became Tottenham coach in the middle of last week, when President Daniel Levy suddenly fired Mauricio Pochettino. Almost immediately, he instilled confidence in his players with a 3-2 victory over West Ham. This is the first victory on Tottenham’s opponent ground since January 2019.
Mourinho has won national championship in four different football backgrounds including Portugal, England, Italy and Spain. He also has two Champions League titles with FC Porto and Inter Milan.
